Using a / 6 drill bit, drill four (4) pilot holes in the
backside of the hamper door for the two (2) sliding stay brackets. See
illustration below for placement. Pilot holes should not exceed 7/ 6 depth to
avoid coming through the face of the door. For a depth gauge, measure from the
bottom of the drill bit up 7/ 6 and wrap a piece of masking tape around the
bit.
-
Mount the sliding stay brackets (L bracket end) to the back of
the hamper door using two (2) #6 x /2 pan head screws.
-
(Before installing the hinges, read this entire section to get
familiar with how the Euro hinge locks to the mounting plate. This will be
helpful when actually placing the door in position.) Insert the hinge cup into
the pre-drilled holes on the back side of the hamper door. Tighten the hinge
screws in place. Mount the hinge mounting plate to the top of the bottom shelf
using the pre-drilled holes in the shelf. Positioning the arrow on the plate at
the front of the shelf facing towards the door, install the hinge in the open
or extended position, slide the hinge grippers (hooks) under the front of the
mounting plate. Push the back of the hinge down until it snaps (locks) into the
mounting plate. To remove the hinge from the plate, pull back on the spring
clip at the rear of the hinge and lift off.
-
From the bottom shelf, count up the vertical panels to front line
boring holes 0 & . Mount the white plastic end of the stay bracket to the
vertical panels, using two (2) 5MM x /2 Euro screws.
-
Adjust the slide rail tension on the stay bracket by turning the
white plastic screw in the center of the white plastic mounting plate.
